I was more than happy to review Jonathan Taylor’s book” Entertaining Strangers” for Everybody’s Reviewing
What an interesting book it was with an impressive start that kept me engaged right through to the end. A talented writer is our Mr Taylor. I remember organising a book signing for him at Waterstones back in 1980 something of his beautiful memoir “Take Me Home” He is like a fine wine, each of his books improves with his age! He teaches Creative Writing at the University of Leicester, where I note that the English Department seems to be under attack from some backward-looking pen pushers and money men. A really sensible idea to stop promoting Medieval English and the wealth of knowledge that their wonderful teachers have accrued.
